Combat Evolution is a Combat Adventure System . It allows for PvP Melee Combat and Combat with NPC Monsters. Quests and mini quests will be added to the system over time. See the quest page for more information on currently available quests. The Combat system follows a principle of attack, defense and counter attack. To make an attack with a Combat Evolution Weapon hold your mouse button down on the ground, and use the arrow keys to make an attack. Experiment to find the best combinations. Use the page down key on your keyboard to block. When a strike is made against you while you are blocking, your weapon will become 'charged'. The charge will last for only about 10 seconds or until you make a next strike. An attack made with a charged weapon has massive damage compared to the standard for that weapon. There are various other details to the system, but I don't want to give it all away. Scores from PvP combat and NPC combat are stored on this
website. On the Score Page you can see the
current stats for participants of Combat Evolution. On the Quests Page you will find a list of available quests and mini quests. More will be added to this list over time. If you have any ideas for a quest or would like to hold a quest on your land please feel free to contact me. To do quests you will need the quest HUD attached to your avatar as well as your weapon. The quest hud contains a virtual inventory for collecting objects which can be used to do various things. Quest monsters will not be rezzed unless you are wearing this HUD. Available free to get players started who do not have one of the combat evolution weapons is the Dagger. This has lower damage than the weapons available for purchase, and does not have any of the additional SL related functions. Below is a picture of the HUD.
The green bar is the health bar, when your stamina is full this regenerates slowly over time. The blue bar is your stamina bar, This decreases when you use massive charged counter attacks. It regenerates over time. The Yin Yang symbol, is for charging your weapon. Using this method is the slow way of doing it. It takes a few seconds for your weapon to charge. Charging from a block is immediate....when you block an attack your weapon charges. A charged weapon will fizzle out after about 10 seconds if no attack is made. The first button (green in the picture) is the draw weapon button. This activates/deactivates your weapon. The middle button is a link to this website The reset button is for either committing suicide to reset
your health to full quickly. (note: This registers as a suicide though
on the website) or when you have been killed press this to regenerate
your health after a 5 second delay. 5. Advanced Weapons HUD
To participate in quests, fight monsters and collect quest items you need to attach this Quest HUD to your avatar as well as your weapon HUD. This HUD contains 6 slots which can hold quest items. There are two buttons 'Use' and 'Discard' under the 6 item slots. Some items when used will disappear from your quest inventory. Items you collect which have a specific purpose will do nothing unless you are in the correct place to use them. Please note that when you discard an item you cannot pick it up again, you will have to go back to the place you found it to get it again. If you die during a quest or detach your HUD your whole inventory will be lost so be careful of those monsters, and do not detach it. Looting monsters and taking items you find :- The basic dagger is available free, You can purchase premium
weapons which do more damage. These weapons are also packed full of features
for general use in SL. Click here to go to the premium
weapons and equipment page. 8. How are scores
worked out PvP Kills = 100 Points There may also be additional ways of gaining points added as one off events or bonus`s. |
