New Website & Score Tables

Welcome to the new Combat Evolution Website.

There are a number of changes, primarily to the score system on the website. The new score system calculates scores awarded for a fight depending on the relative scores of the fighters. So if someone fights a player with a higher score and wins, they will get more points than if they fight a player with a lower score.

Other News... The v2.36 HUDs are also returning as an option for anyone that prefers PvP fighting with the simpler v2 fighting system. The V2 Scores tables will be reserved for this. v2.36 HUDs are NOT the official HUDs for the combat evolution game system and as such I will not be merging there scores into the main C.E. Score table. Most of the new features of the V3 HUDs are not present, and the v2 HUDs will not have the performance benefits of v3.

Please read on to find out more about the new score system and score tables.

You will see at the top of the page that there are now various score menus.

These are as follows...

Scores Menu Option

This is the main score table for the current v3 Combat Evolution HUDs. This score table uses a new score system. (Still very much in a testing stage.) I have reset all the scores for this new table recently as it does not make sense to have the old scores merged in with the new system. The old score system was very basic. It simply gave a fixed number of points to you if you won a fight and removed a fixed mumber of points if you lost. The new system works differently. Now you will be rewarded more points for winning a fight against someone with more points than you. You will get less points for fighting someone with a lower score. There is also a base score of 10 points for winning any fight, and to being with a new player is granted 1000 points. Please note that the new score system is still in a testing stage and may be subject to further tweeking.

( Old Scores ) Link on the scores page

This is the old score system and tables. The old score tables will continue to run parallel to the new score system so if you prefered this score system dont worry! You can continue to use it. In time I would like to discontinue this score system and place it in an old score archive. But I have no plans to do this immediatly.

Regional Scores Link on the scores page

This is the websites regional score tables. These do not use the new score ranking system. They are simply based on fight wins. The new feature to these score tables and in-world scoreboards are that they can be set to start from a past date. The in-world scoreboards have a reset option which will set them to zero. This feature is useful for people that wish to have competitions whether they be daily or monthly.

v2 Scores Menu Option

A few people have asked me if I could re-implement the old version 2 HUDs as they prefered the simpler game play or do not have time to learn the v3 HUDs. So, after some consideration I've decided to re-release it as an optional extra. These HUDs will not score on the main score tables and are NOT intended to be an integral part of the combat evolution game, they will only work with other v2.36 HUDs. It is simply an alternative for PvP Fight Clubs and MMA Gyms that would prefer to use it. Devils Moon and all Official combat evolution game aspects cannot be guaranteed to work with the v2 HUDs. The score system itself is based on the new score system, the regional scores for v2 have not changed.

Please Note: As v2 is not the official Combat Evolution HUD, I have no plans to update it in the future or provide extensive support for this HUD.

I would like to also encourage all new players that do not have to use v2 HUDs to use the v3 HUD. Although it is more complex to learn and requires more skill to use properly, It has much more robust and detailed gameplay, has less bugs, and reduces lag considerably.

I will post instructions on how to get the v2.36 HUDs shortly!
